SEP wrapped up its third cohort of Pathfinders — an 8-week career-readiness program geared toward 9th and 10th grade software engineering students —with a small celebration on Saturday, June 6 at University Settlement’s Houston Street Center in Manhattan.
Twenty-nine high schoolers across New York City successfully completed after school internships at 16 partner companies including EY, INOBX25, New York Civil Liberties Union, Staten Island MakerSpace, and Dechert. At the Saturday celebration, each student received a generous stipend for their commitment to 6 weeks of interning, 3 all-day Saturday career-readness trainings, and weekly writing assignments.
The Pathfinders program will kick off its fourth cycle this summer on Saturday, June 20. More than 80 students and 35 companies are expected to participate.
